Remember - their perceptions are their realities whereas your perceptions are your reality.

It is wrong to assume these perceptions or these realities are the same.

Instead, do what it takes to understand the similarities and differences in perceptions and realities:

• This is the way to understand other people. 
• Of even more importance, this is the way to understand 'self'.

Understanding 'self' and others is the route to influencing 'self' and others.

And, influencing is the essence of leadership.
