When we were children we were taught how to pronounce words by breaking them down into their individual syllables. When we mastered the individual syllables, we were taught how to repeat the words. When we learned how to say the words we were left on our own to use them in our own way.
We need to use the same sort of process when we help people learn tasks and perform processes at work.
